The first prenatal visit answers three questions in order. Is there a fetus? Only three findings can say yes, and a positive hormone test is not one of them. How far along? Run Naegele’s rule with the arithmetic visible, then decide whether a first-trimester scan overrides it. What has happened before? Build a GTPAL from real pregnancies and watch what twins do to it — parity counts births, not babies.

Only ultrasound visualisation of the fetus, auscultated fetal heart tones and examiner-palpated fetal movement are positive. Everything else has an impostor.
The seven days are the step most often dropped. Do the subtraction and the addition separately and out loud.
Add one entry per pregnancy, oldest or newest first — order does not matter. A twin pregnancy is one entry with two babies.
