Reading the Culture & Sensitivity

The lab tells you which drugs can kill this organism. It never tells you which drug to give — that decision is yours, and it turns on spectrum. Pick a case, then tap each antibiotic on the report to see the plate and read the letter.

R is not a weak S. Resistant means the drug will fail at any dose you can safely give. There is no "try it and see" with an R — and a drug the lab never even listed is usually a drug the organism is intrinsically resistant to.
