Molecular Genetic Tools Lab

Clone a gene on a virtual bench, read qPCR curves live, drill restriction maps, gels, primers, fold change and CRISPR guides with worked solutions, match techniques to questions, order real workflows, and read data from real-world style experiments. Nothing here is graded.

Simplifications: positions are rounded, the ends of the PCR product are treated as not ligatable, enzyme compatibility is by identical sites only, colony numbers are random within realistic ranges, and fragments under about 180 bp run off the bottom of this 1% gel and pieces under 100 bp are lost during gel purification. Plasmid names are fictional; pAT is styled after the classic two-marker vector pBR322.
