Priority and Delegation Board: The First Seventy-Two Hours
Four patients need you and only one of you exists. The tie-breaker is airway and trajectory: a stable dense hemiplegia is unfortunate, a level of consciousness that has fallen two points in an hour is unstable. Established deficits wait. Changing deficits do not. Work the rounds, then assign every task on the board to the right person and build a discharge package matched to the mechanism.

Answer with the lowest level who may safely do it. Assessment, teaching, evaluation and the unstable patient are never delegated — and assistive personnel always work to clear reporting parameters you set out loud.
