Dr. Garg Learning

Microbiology

the invisible world, explained plainly

Everything for the course sits on this page. Read a section in plain words, then play with the same idea in an interactive. Drill it, then test yourself.

by Dr. Akash Garg

🦠 One book, fifteen chapters. The first half builds the microbes themselves. Then come control and drugs, then immunity, then a tour of infection by body system. Every chapter carries six interactives, real figures, a glossary and a quiz.

📚 New here? How to work through a chapter›

Each part of this library covers the same microbiology a different way. Mix them however suits you.

  1. Read the chapter in The Book. Stop at each interactive and actually move the controls.
  2. Work the quiz at the end of the chapter before you look at any answer.
  3. Run that chapter's deck in Flashcards until the reasons come as easily as the answers.
  4. Before an exam, read its Study Guide and say each table out loud from memory.
  5. Finish with the Exam Bank and a round of The Chase. Read every reason, even when you were right.

Names are the hard part here, and names stick through use, not through staring. Come back to an interactive a day later and try to predict what it will do before you touch it.
